Highest scoring semi-finalists move forward. Five technicians have made it through to the final of Top Technician 2015 after a demanding day of challenges at GTG in Wolverhampton.
The Semi-Finals saw 10 techs take on a variety of 20-minute tasks, ranging from simple vehicle maintenance checks to complex diagnostics. The team of judges consisted of Phil Bannister from GTG, former runner-up Lee Collins, James Dillon of Tech Topics, 2013 winner Steve Smith from Pico Technology and Chief Judge Ian Gillgrass from the IMI – who were pleased with the high level of skill shown by all who took part.
Event Organiser Nicola St Clair comments: “The semi-finalists proved a great amount of knowledge and skill in the tasks set out for them and the five who didn’t make it through to the final round can still be proud they came this far. We are looking forward to a challenging but enjoyable day at Fiat on the 24th April and buying the team a well-deserved beer afterwards.”
