IMI Accreditation Customer Service is intended primarily for professionals in the motor industry working directly or indirectly with the consumer/customer.

IMI Accreditation Customer Service is intended primarily for professionals in the motor industry working directly or indirectly with the consumer/customer. The role of Customer Service Advisor, for example, will generally be an employee of a department within a business dealing with routine enquiries and complaints from or disputes with customers.

That said, Customer Service need not be restricted to a single job role – demand is increasing across our industry for training and accreditation in customer service for technicians, workshop controllers and owners of small to medium sized enterprises.

There are two levels within IMI Accreditation Customer Service:

Customer Service Advisor

The candidate should be working in customer service and have a minimum of three months experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills and knowledge required.

Senior Customer Service Advisor

The candidate should be working in customer service and have a minimum of three years experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills and knowledge required.

Customer Service

The candidate is required to complete the following modules, the candidate must complete one of either module 089 or 090:

Product and Technical - Basic AOM 085 AOM 085
Objection Handling and Complaints AOM 086 AOM 086
Business and Process - AOM 087 AOM 087
Written Communication - AOM 088 AOM 088
Communication : Face to Face - AOM 089 AOM 089
Communication : Remote - AOM 090 AOM 090

(092, 093 and 094 - Theory only assessment) Note: Candidates wishing to accredit in Senior Customer Service, are required to hold a valid IMI Accreditation card for ‘Customer Service’. The latter must remain valid throughout the assessment process.
